Consider a knowledge app. A person finds a document or asks a question. An agent prepares an answer from allowed sources. The app shows the answer and references so the person can check it. Keeping the workflow visible makes the agent easier to use and improve.

A few useful distinctions.
Does every app need an agent?
No. Add one for work that benefits from interpreting context or choosing steps. Clear forms and ordinary application logic are often sufficient.
Where do coding agents fit?
Coding agents help build the software through the developer tools. They are different from the agents a customer uses inside the finished experience.
