Exepad Studio
Describe your idea. Build it in Exepad.
Start with what you need, work with Exepad's built-in AI builder, and review your app as it takes shape. Publish when it is ready and return to make supported improvements.
Your first app includes an allowance for the built-in builder. See the current plan and usage terms for continued building.
What you will build.
A one-page project-estimate calculator that anyone can open and use.
- Visitors enter an hourly rate, estimated hours and, if they want one, a contingency percentage.
- The page shows the subtotal, the contingency amount and the total.
- Everything runs in the browser. There are no accounts, and nothing is saved.
Free puts one one-page site live, with no expiry. Several pages, saved data, sign-in, email or AI need Go or Pro to go live.
How it works.
Everything happens in Studio, from your first description to the published app.
-
Describe your idea
Tell the built-in builder what you need in plain words, or start from the calculator prompt below.
-
Review the preview
Try the preview that the built-in builder makes, and see how the app works.
-
Ask for changes
Say what should change. For the calculator, ask for a fixed-fee option and a reset button, then check the updated preview.
-
Publish
When it is ready, publish it with Studio's controls.
-
Come back to improve it
Open the app in Studio later, ask for the next change, review it and publish again.
The calculator prompt.
Paste it when you describe your idea. When the preview is ready, ask for a fixed-fee option and a reset button.
Create a one-page project-estimate calculator. Let visitors enter an hourly rate, estimated hours, and an optional contingency percentage. Show the subtotal, contingency amount, and total. Keep everything in the browser with no accounts or saved data.
Setup.
There is nothing to install or connect.
-
Sign up
Sign up with Google. It creates your Exepad account, and Free is enough to start.
-
Describe your idea
Studio opens after you sign in. Describe what you want to build there.
Plans.
- The built-in builder is free for your first app, up to an allowance; after that it needs added funds (from $10), Go or Pro. The assistant you already use (ChatGPT or Claude) can build your other apps on Free.
A second example: a request tracker.
Clients submit requests, and you move each one from New to In progress to Done. It saves records, so it is an app rather than a one-page site.
Build and preview it on any plan. Putting it live needs Go or Pro.
Create a client request tracker. Let a client submit a request with a title, a description and their email. Save each request so it is still there after a reload, show the list with a status of New, In progress or Done, and let me change the status. Use fictional sample requests while I review it.
Keep improving it.
- Ask the built-in builder for a change, review the new preview and publish the new version.
- An app you make in Studio from a prompt can later be continued by an AI assistant you connect: choose the app when you connect the assistant.
- An app built in Studio before assistant editing existed stays in Studio.
- Prefer the assistant you already use? See Build with your AI.
A little more context
Good questions.
Do I need a paid plan to start?
No. Free is enough to start. Free puts one one-page site live, with no expiry. Several pages, saved data, sign-in, email or AI need Go or Pro to go live.
What does an app with AI need?
Build and preview it on any plan; on Free, AI in previews is free up to $1 a month. Putting it live needs Go or Pro. Apps your AI builds can't use AI models yet; for AI, create the app in Exepad Studio.
Can I continue a Studio app with the assistant I already use?
Yes, if you made it in Studio from a prompt: choose it when you connect your assistant, and the assistant can continue it. Older Studio apps, built before assistant editing existed, stay in Studio.
