Build with ChatGPT
Turn your ChatGPT conversation into a live app.
Connect Exepad, describe what you want to build, and work with ChatGPT to create it. Review the private preview, ask for changes, and approve publication on Exepad.
Start on Exepad Free. Publish one one-page site with no saved data; richer live apps need a paid plan. ChatGPT eligibility applies separately.
What you will build.
A one-page project-estimate calculator that anyone can open and use.
- Visitors enter an hourly rate, estimated hours and, if they want one, a contingency percentage.
- The page shows the subtotal, the contingency amount and the total.
- Everything runs in the browser. There are no accounts, and nothing is saved.
Free puts one one-page site live, with no expiry. Several pages, saved data, sign-in, email or AI need Go or Pro to go live.
How it works.
ChatGPT writes the app. Exepad builds it, keeps it private while you review it, and puts it live when you approve.
-
Connect Exepad
Add Exepad to ChatGPT and sign in. The setup is below.
-
Describe the app
Ask ChatGPT for what you want in plain words, or send the first prompt below.
-
Review the private preview
ChatGPT writes the app, and Exepad builds it into a private preview that only you can open. The preview appears in the chat.
-
Ask for changes
Ask for a fixed-fee option and a reset button. ChatGPT changes the app, and Exepad builds a new preview.
-
Approve publication
Ask ChatGPT to prepare the publish. It gives you a link, you approve it in Exepad, and the app goes live. Nothing goes live until you approve it.
The prompts.
Send them in order, in a conversation with Exepad connected: start the calculator, change it, then prepare it for publication.
Use Exepad to create a one-page project-estimate calculator. Let visitors enter an hourly rate, estimated hours, and an optional contingency percentage. Show the subtotal, contingency amount, and total. Keep everything in the browser with no accounts or saved data. Build a private preview for me to review.
Add a fixed-fee option and a reset button. Keep the current design and show me the updated preview.
Prepare this version for publication and give me the Exepad approval link.
Connect Exepad to ChatGPT.
ChatGPT connects to Exepad at one address. It signs you in to Exepad, so there is no key to copy.
-
Add Exepad
In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins › Add › Create custom MCP server and paste this address.
https://mcp.exepad.com/mcp -
Sign in to Exepad
Exepad opens. Sign in with Google, which creates your Exepad account if you don't have one; Exepad Free is enough. Choose which apps ChatGPT may use.
-
Ask for the app
Ask for the app you want. ChatGPT writes it, Exepad builds it, and the private preview appears in the chat.
-
Approve publication
When the app is ready, ChatGPT gives you an approval link. Approve the publish in Exepad.
- Adding a custom MCP server needs a paid ChatGPT plan, Plus or above, on the web. OpenAI decides which plans can use its write tools. See OpenAI's help page.

Plans and cost.
- ChatGPT connects on every Exepad plan, Free included; ChatGPT eligibility applies separately.
- Each build is charged to your Exepad wallet at 0.5 US cents a minute, by the second, and at most 10 cents a build, drawn first from your monthly credit. A build starts only when the wallet can cover it.
- Your assistant's own tokens cost nothing at Exepad.
A second example: a request tracker.
Clients submit requests, and you move each one from New to In progress to Done. It saves records, so it is an app rather than a one-page site.
Build and preview it on any plan. Putting it live needs Go or Pro.
Create a client request tracker. Let a client submit a request with a title, a description and their email. Save each request so it is still there after a reload, show the list with a status of New, In progress or Done, and let me change the status. Use fictional sample requests while I review it.
Keep improving it.
- Ask ChatGPT for the next change. Exepad builds a new private preview, and the live app changes only when you approve the new publish.
- An app ChatGPT makes shows in Exepad Studio with its preview, and its changes come from ChatGPT.
- An app you make in Studio from a prompt can be continued by ChatGPT: choose it when you connect. An app built in Studio before assistant editing existed stays in Studio.
- Apps your AI builds can't use AI models yet; for AI, create the app in Exepad Studio.
