Run agents · Your App Cloud

Give a goal its next steps.

Build agents that work with your context. Connect models, data, files, and available actions to help research, support people, and carry work forward.

Illustrative agent concept

From an intention to a useful result

A few ways to make it yours.

These examples show how the pieces can come together around a purpose.

Build a research agent

Start with

A research question, a selected source collection, and the decisions the brief should help inform.

What you are working toward

A research brief with traceable source material and a clear account of what still needs checking.

  1. Give it context

Define the scope, relevant sources, and what a useful answer should cover.

  2. Work through the task

Use language and vision models to help extract findings and organize them around the question.

  3. Review the result

Review the source references, note unresolved questions, and save the brief with its supporting material.

Build a support agent for your app

Start with

A customer question, relevant account information, and the policies or guides the agent is allowed to use.

What you are working toward

A response or suggested next step that stays connected to the customer and the information behind it.

  1. Give it context

Define the questions the agent should handle and which account context it may access.

  2. Work through the task

Use relevant material to prepare an answer or the next step, keeping the sources available.

  3. Review the result

Review sensitive responses and pass unresolved questions to a person with the conversation context attached.

Build a workflow agent

Start with

A task, relevant records or files, the actions it may take, and a definition of completion.

What you are working toward

A result connected to the task history, with enough context to continue or correct the work.

  1. Give it context

Define the goal, the context it needs, and the decisions that require a person.

  2. Work through the task

Let the agent work through the task using its permitted actions, keeping intermediate results available.

  3. Review the result

Review the outcome and any incomplete steps before treating the work as finished.

Good questions.

What does it mean to run an agent?

Give an agent a defined task, relevant context, and permitted actions. It uses models to work through the task and produces an answer or result. Design how people review its work and what happens when a step cannot be completed.

Does an agent need its own app?

An app can provide a place to request work, inspect context, and review results. An agent can work with that app's data and files, so the task stays connected to a useful experience.

Is this the same as using an agent to build software?

Running a research or support agent is a product you can create. A coding agent using Exepad to build and publish software is a separate developer workflow, covered in the developer resources.
