Exepad Q1 2025: AI Editor, Template Library, and Performance Improvements
The first quarter of 2025 was our biggest yet. We shipped the conversational AI editor, expanded the template library to over 40 industry-specific starting points, added native image generation, and made measurable improvements to build-time performance.
Here is a full walkthrough of everything that is new.
Conversational AI Editor
The most requested feature since launch. Instead of navigating menus to make changes, you can now describe what you want in plain English — directly on the page.

What the Conversational Editor Handles
- Section reordering ("move testimonials above pricing")

- Colour and typography changes ("switch to a darker, more professional palette")

Template Library: 40 Industry-Specific Starting Points
We have expanded from 12 generic templates to 40 templates built around specific industries and use cases. Each template includes:
- Pre-written copy for that industry
- Industry-appropriate colour palette and typography
- Optimised section structure based on what converts for that business type
- Pre-configured SEO settings with industry-relevant placeholders

You can now generate images directly within Exepad without uploading your own or sourcing from stock libraries.

Generated images are:
- Immediately resized and optimised for the section they will fill
- Matched to your brand palette where possible
- Unique — not stock photos shared across millions of sites
This is especially useful for early-stage sites, client mockups, and businesses whose professional photography is still in production.
Performance Improvements
Build and Publish Speed
Page publish time has been reduced significantly:

Editor Load Time
The visual editor now loads in under 2 seconds on standard connections, down from 4–5 seconds previously. Projects with many images and sections load especially faster due to a new asset streaming approach.
Core Web Vitals for Published Sites
All Exepad sites now score in the "Good" range for Google Core Web Vitals:
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) < 2.5s ✓ Good
First Input Delay (FID) < 100ms ✓ Good
Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) < 0.1 ✓ Good
These scores matter for SEO — Google uses Core Web Vitals as a ranking factor.
Custom Domain Improvements
Connecting a custom domain now takes under two minutes for most registrars, including GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, and Google Domains.
We have added a guided setup flow that shows you exactly which DNS records to add, with registrar-specific screenshots. SSL certificates provision automatically once DNS propagates.
Analytics Dashboard Redesign
The Analytics dashboard has been redesigned to surface the information that matters most:

- A/B testing — test two versions of a headline, CTA, or layout with real traffic and see which converts better, without writing code
- Form integrations — native connections to HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Notion for routing enquiries directly into your existing workflows
- Video backgrounds — add ambient background video to hero sections
- Multi-page navigation builder — a visual tool for building and reordering complex multi-page navigation structures
- Collaboration mode — invite a team member or client to view and comment on a draft before publishing
