Exepad Studio, your AI or a coding agent: which should I use?+
Choose by where you like to work: all three are free to start and build the same apps, with several pages, saved data, sign-in and AI inside. Use Exepad Studio if you want Exepad's built-in AI builder to build the app for you, from an idea or from a file you upload. Use your AI if you already work with ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity. Use a coding agent such as Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity or OpenCode if you build in a terminal or an editor. Whichever you choose, the app lives in your one Exepad account, starts as a private preview and goes live only when you say so.
Which coding agents can I use?+
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, OpenCode, Kiro, Cline, and any other agent that can add an HTTP MCP server and sign in with OAuth. They all connect at https://mcp.exepad.com/mcp and build the same apps.
Which Exepad plan do I need?+
Every AI assistant and coding agent that can sign in connects on every Exepad plan, Free included. Free puts one one-page site live, with no expiry. Several pages, saved data, sign-in, email or AI need Go or Pro to go live.
How long does the connection last?+
The connection ends 30 days after you approve it; you can revoke it sooner on Connected assistants in Exepad Studio. Each publish still waits for your approval in Exepad while the connection is active.
What does a build cost?+
0.5 US cents a minute while it runs, by the second, and at most 10 cents a build, drawn first from your monthly credit. A build starts only when your wallet can cover it. Your agent's own tokens cost nothing at Exepad, and its subscription doesn't pay for Exepad.
Can apps my agent builds use AI?+
Yes. Like an app built any other way, an app with saved data that your agent builds can use language and vision models, speech, image generation on Go or Pro and live voice on Pro: your agent looks up the models it can use with discover_capabilities. A live app with AI needs Go or Pro, and each publish still waits for your approval in Exepad.
Is a coding agent the same as an agent running in my app?+
No. A coding agent helps you build the app. An agent inside your app works on a task for its users, with the context and actions you give it. Design and test that behavior in the app itself.
